This Course:
Capital Planning and Enterprise Architecture have operated as two separate functions within the Federal Government since their inception. With no clear linkages between the two disciplines, Enterprise Architects and Capital Planners have rarely crossed paths outside of completing portions of the Exhibit 300 and the organizations Target Architecture… until NOW.
By properly integrating the two disciplines, Senior Managers of an organization will have a holistic view of their organization, their personnel, their processes and IT investments. In this workshop Enterprise Architects and Capital Planners will learn:

About
Your Instructors:
Brian Lane, PMP
Mr. Lane has over 15 years of technical and management experience in architectural design and analysis. Experience includes development of engineering analyses, performance gap analyses, and alignment of technical architectures with business/mission needs. Led Enterprise Architecture (EA) development efforts at a large federal executive agency which included modeling through the use of an automated EA tool/repository and representation on Departmental EA governance bodies. Integrated EA efforts with Capital Planning and Investment Control at a large DOL agency and prepared Exhibit 300s, decision papers, and other related deliverables. Additional experience includes leading technology development efforts and building the internal business and resource infrastructures needed to support development, implementation, and ongoing operations. Expertise includes client relationship management, Enterprise Architecture, business systems / product support, systems programming / technical support, issue resolution / mediation, life cycle strategic development, information systems security / protection, billing & reporting platforms, team lead / project management, migration and configuration management, global network solutions.
William Giandoni, PMP
Mr. Giandoni has 8 years consulting experience in various disciplines including financial services, business strategy, performance improvement, capital planning, and enterprise architecture for the Federal Government. Mr. Giandoni currently acts as Project Manager and as Senior Consultant at a large executive level federal agency. Mr. Giandoni coordinates the Enterprise Architecture efforts and assists Federal Government personnel in integrating Capital Planning with EA efforts. This also includes both operational and cost benefit analyses to ensure alignment with mission and cost parameters. Mr. Giandoni also manages and maintains client’s Target Enterprise Architecture, developing extensive performance measures and milestones.

CANCELLATION POLICY: You
may designate a substitute in writing any time before the event.
If you need to cancel your registration, you must send your notice
in writing and will be subject to a $50 processing fee. No refunds
are given for cancellations received one week prior to the event start
date or later. PLEASE NOTE: No shows will be liable for the entire
registration fee. In the rare occasion that the event is cancelled or postponed, please note our reimbursement is limited to paid tuition only.

The workshop will be held in the Government*Horizons Training Center in the Jefferson Plaza Building at 1421 Jefferson Davis Highway (7th floor), Arlington, VA 22202. Public parking at the facility is available for $10.00 early morning special (before 8:00am) or $18.00 all day. The Jefferson Plaza Building is just two blocks from the Crystal City Metro Station on the blue and yellow line. Please note: the parking garage is located on Crystal Drive.
