Introduction to Government Contracting
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

1. Where did this course material come from?
The course is based on materials from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) policies, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars and the decisions of the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Boards of Contract Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims. These authoritative references have been organized and arranged by the presenter based on his years of experience as an acquisition attorney, trainer and consultant. The course materials were originally produced to support a full-day (8 hours) of training. Without breaks and class questions, the material results in the four hours presented here. All of the topics taught in a full day of training are covered here.

2. If I sign up for this training, just exactly what will I receive?
After payment has cleared our secure payment server you will receive login instructions and a web address. You copy the address into your Internet browser
(Internet Explorer for example) and you will be taken to your classroom. On your screen you will see the training modules you paid for. For thirty days, you will have 24 hour access to all modules purchased. You may view them as often as you like. You can start and restart any module without limits. Each module is
approximately one hour long. If you purchase all four modules, you will have access to four one-hour training modules. The training you receive will be the same that you would receive in a live presentation with the added benefits of avoiding travel and the ability to stop and start the presentation at your convenience. You will also receive a PDF file containing the charts and substantive comments and references in the Notes section. You may print these out to use as a reference, use them to take notes or just to follow along with the instructor. In addition, each module has the vu-graphs on the screen along with the instructor so you can easily follow the presentation. The on-screen vu-graphs are synched to the video presentation.

3. What if I don’t understand something and need to ask a question?
Any questions pertaining to the course content may be e-mailed to the instructor during the 30-day access period. You will receive a thoughtful response, with
reference citations when available, generally within 24 hours.

4. Can my supervisor sit in with me on the course? Can I pass around to my staff the training PDF with vu-graphs?
