This Course:
During the FAC-P/PM: Federal Acquisition Certification for Program & Project Managers Workshop, you will review the requirements for the FAC-P/PM certification and better understand - as a government employee or contractor - what the FAC-P/PM requirement is, how to meet it, and how to integrate it into your career development plan.
What You Will Learn:
- Requirements and mandates of the FAC-P/PM certification
- The process for entering data into the appropriate government-wide system
- What education and credits do and do not count
- How your existing education and learning can count towards the certification
- How to perform a gap analysis of existing credentials and mandated levels of certification
- Building a "training" career roadmap to achieve desired level of certification
- How to obtain your certification and identify your career path
- How to maintain the certification once certified
- The Exhibit 300 business case questions and requirements pertaining to FAC-P/PM certification
- How the certification relates to the DAWIA certification, the PMP certification and the PRINCE2 certification
- The process for obtaining waivers for interim certification for agency program managers

Janelle "JB" Hill is the President and Lead Consultant of Federal Concierge LLC, providing support and thought leadership in a variety of project and program needs to businesses, contractors and the federal government. JB is also the Director of the Federal CPIC Forum. JB is an award-winning co-author of the CPIC and the Definitive Guide to the Exhibit 300 as well as the upcoming Wounded Warriors Guidebook. JB was also recently awarded "CPIC Industry Pacesetter" in the 2008 CPIC awards of excellence.
JB offers more than a decade of comprehensive experience with and for the federal government sector.Through Federal Concierge LLC, its alliances and clients, JB works for Chief Information Officer (CIO) Program Management Offices (PMOs) directing and supporting senior management with their portfolio management and capital planning investment initiatives. JB has written extensively; producing white papers, all facets of proposal support, technical requirements, Capital Asset business case justifications, Capital Portfolio Investment Control documents and a variety of governance documentation products for Congressional review. JB periodically trains in all areas of her subject matter expertise, particularly in Government Sales and Business Development and within the scope of the OMB Exhibit 300 Capital planning processes.
JB possesses two CIO Certificates from National Defense University and General Services Administration, a Masters of Science in Information Management from Syracuse University and has mastered both the NDU Chief Information Officer and Information Assurance programs at National Defense University.

CANCELLATION POLICY: You
may designate a substitute in writing any time before the event.
If you need to cancel your registration, you must send your notice
in writing and will be subject to a $50 processing fee. No refunds
are given for cancellations received one week prior to the event start
date or later. PLEASE NOTE: No shows will be liable for the entire
registration fee. In the rare occasion that the event is cancelled or postponed, please note our reimbursement is limited to paid tuition only.

The workshop will be held in the Government*Horizons Training Center in the Jefferson Plaza Building at 1421 Jefferson Davis Highway (7th floor), Arlington, VA 22202. Public parking at the facility is available for $10.00 early morning special (before 8:00am) or $18.00 all day. The Jefferson Plaza Building is just two blocks from the Crystal City Metro Station on the blue and yellow line. Please note: the parking garage is located on Crystal Drive.
