Kimberly Smith, PMP Kimberly Smith, a 17 year IT professional, specializing in software engineering and project management has been involved with large-scale development efforts in government for more than 15 years. In her current role as the PMO for Federal Finance, she has responsibility for evolving the project management practices within her area of more than 17 systems. Additionally, she leads her area in the CPIC and Exhibit 300 processes and reporting; providing training, guidance, strategic direction, support and reviews of existing and new investments. Ms. Smith supports governance reporting and compliance for FF programs. She has developed and authored several guides and tools which provide technical guidance to project managers. Ms. Smith earned Master’s Certificates in Information Technology Project Management and Business Analysis from the George Washington University, Washington, DC. She holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. Ms. Smith is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) as designated by the Project Management Institute (PMI). She is a member of the national and local chapter of the PMI. She also actively participates as a member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) Northern Virginia section. In her spare time, she enjoys tutoring children, bicycling and home improvement projects.
