Laura Johnson is responsible for expanding the company's training product line and managing the details and logistics for current and new conferences and events. Ms. Johnson also manages the company's private training department and works with clients to create customized workshops tailored to their needs.

Ms. Johnson's primary area of expertise is her extensive knowledge of the meetings management industry combined with her in-depth product development skills, including researching content and marketing conferences geared to both commercial and Federal clients.

Prior to joining Government*Horizons, Ms. Johnson served as Manager, Training Programs for ABS Consulting and provided overall leadership in planning, budgeting, producing, and administering 175 courses nationwide annually, as well as achieving marketing targets. She managed all staff related to program development, course planning and administration, course production, and hotel contracting. She was responsible for the strategic direction, management, and growth of departments training seminars and for maintaining course content on e-commerce website. Her responsibilities also included speaker selection and liaison, marketing oversight, and sales and quality performance.

Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from University of Maryland, College Park.

Ms. Boothe formed Government*Horizons in March 2006.  Prior to the formation of Government*Horizons she was Vice President with Homeland Defense Journal magazine responsible for strategic planning, media strategy development and the creation of a series of very success national training programs directed at government managers and executives and major corporations that provide services and products to the government.

Prior to joining the Homeland Defense Journal, Ms. Boothe served as Vice President – Business Development, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), with overall responsibility for new business activities in major civilian agencies and departments of the federal government. Ms. Boothe joined CSC in 1976 as a marketing manager with account assignments at Department of Labor, Treasury and EPA. In 1985 led marketing effort and played significant role in winning the Treasury Consolidated Data Network contract, which was, at the time, the largest single contract ever awarded to CSC. In almost 20 years at CSC have competitively marketed and won federal contracts generating revenues in excess of $3 Billion.

Major program and agency experience range across the Departments of Treasury, State, Interior, Labor, Education, HUD and HHS, plus independent agencies of EPA, GSA, FEMA, SSA, OPM, National Sciences Foundation, and U.S. Postal Service.

Prior to joining CSC, Ms. Boothe served with American Embassy in Rome, Italy and with an international economic development consulting firm in Washington, D.C. She also speaks Italian.

Ms. Boothe earned a BS, magna cum laude, Business Administration.

Ms. Boothe has been a frequent speaker at government conferences and professional associations. Active in numerous government/industry associations including Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), Federal Government Information Processing Council (FGIPC), Industry Advisory Council (IAC), Intergovernmental Council of Technology Processing (ICTIP), AFFIRM and AFCEA.

Mr. Hill is one of the founding directors of Government Horizons, Inc. Through his company, New Horizons Partners, LLC, he provides accounting and IT services and acts as the Government Horizons, Inc. CFO.

Mr. Hill is the President of New Horizons Partners LLC, providing innovative solutions to finance, administration, IT and event planning to non-profit associations and corporations. The company is 50 percent woman owned. Its owner/partners have more than 35 years of combined experience in managing non-profits and professional event planning including the management of diversified finance and technology needs for seminars, political fundraisers, foundation grants, trade shows and symposiums.

A native of the Washington DC metropolitan area, Mr. Hill holds undergraduate degrees in science and accounting and earned his MBA in management from The George Washington University.

From 1976 – 1984 Mr. Hill worked in the banking industry as CFO for a Washington DC based savings and loan association.

From 1984 Mr. Hill joined The American Waterways Operators, a maritime lobbying association representing the inland and coastal barge and towing industry. Mr. Hill served as CFO and Senior Vice President with responsibility for all finance, administration and IT functions.

In 1994 Mr. Hill developed a five association group of strategically aligned maritime associations that shared office space and administrative resources. Mr. Hill was responsible for finance, administration, IT and event planning functions for all group members. The American Waterways Operators became the nucleus around which the maritime alliance was constructed.

Mr. Hill has a long history of civic involvement and community volunteer work including past president of his local Lions International club, financial management groups and homeowners associations.

Debbie Hoffman

Deborah Hoffman has more than 20 years’ experience in the federal government contracting information industry. Prior to accepting a consulting position with Government*Horizons, Hoffman served as Director of American Graduate University’s School of Contracting and Acquisition. In this role, she was involved with the Masters of Acquisition Management and Master of Contract Management degree programs, updating content, developing new course offerings, and ensuring training aligned with the needs of the government acquisition workforce. Hoffman was previously director of the Government Contracting Institute, providing training, newsletters, and online services for the contracting industry. She has been a guest speaker on contracting, procurement and defense conversion issues at GCI conferences, E-Gov, and the CNN World Economic Congress.

Ms. Hoffman has a B.A. in Political Science from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa, and has completed Masters Degree work in International Development at American University, Washington, D.C. She has a Certificate in Business Journalism from the University of  Maryland, College Park, Md.

Katie Hill

Katie is responsible for managing online content and advertising the company's trainings and conferences via the company website. She provides web technology services and IT support to Government*Horizons.

Katie is the president of Meshwork LLC, which provides custom-tailored technology solutions and web-related support services to businesses. The company is 100% woman-owned and operated.

She holds a B.A. in Digital Media, a minor in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business Administration.
